About Gil Schwartz
Gil Schwartz is an Instructor at the National Defense University (NDU), where he develops strategic policy games and exercises for the White House, Office of the Secretary of Defense and U.S. Congress. An experienced facilitator, he has led dozens of sessions covering U.S. arctic policy, water security, Haiti reconstruction, U.S.-Mexico border violence and other key national security issues.
Prior to joining NDU Gil worked for the Center for Strategic and International Studies, where he researched nonproliferation issues and efforts to ratify the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. He has international experience in twenty-one countries, including working in Jerusalem, Israel as a Business Analyst promoting investment in the renewable energy and clean-tech sectors.
Gil is a magna cum laude graduate of both Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Security Studies at the National Defense University.
